This training session focuses on how to reduce drilling costs by controlling solids.

The session covers:

1) A methodology that reduces field data into metrics that quantify solids control performance.

2) An overview of process fundamentals and the principles of operation for solids control including equipment

3) Examples and  "lessons learned”  from over 15 years of experience of looking at multi-rig fleets for operators in the shale plays.

It is intended for engineers and operations staff including drilling superintendents and drilling engineers looking for ways to benchmark performance of solid control services.

Speaker Mike Morgenthaler

Mike Morgenthaler started his career in drilling fluids with IMCO Services in 1980. He subsequently worked for Baker Hughes, Sweco Oilfield Services, and National Oilwell before founding Cutpoint in 1992. Cutpoint supplies operational analysis and training to operational personnel and drilling management teams. Mike has a BSME from UT Austin.
