Description
The use of fiber optic technology in today’s multiply fracture stimulated horizontal wells has progressed at a rapid pace given its foray over the last 10 years. In this discussion we will look at how the use of fiber optics in horizontal wells can aid in completion design. Most of the data presented will be in form of various case studies where objective in each project was varied depending on metric favored at the time of completion. Production data from select wells will be shared to improve our understanding of the technology. A point of discussion is to show how this technology can be used as another tool in a completion engineers toolbox.
