The well operator rightly has expectations for the highest frac plug reliability because expensive frac jobs must be pumped into the correct perforations. Purchasing a frac plug with a claim of high reliability is a good start. But with close to 500 system combinations of frac plug, frac ball, setting tool, and power charge available for 5 ½” casing applications, how can high reliability be assured in the field?
