Matt Francsis is a Data Scientist with Tessela. He is a former petroleum geologist turned data scientist. Laid off in 2018, Matt endeavored to make a career pivot out of oil & gas and succeeded after 7 months of hard effort. He now works as a client-facing data science consultant for Tessella, an industry-agnostic data science consulting company. Since switching careers, he has been actively helping people find their way into data science. Matt holds Geology degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and Virginia Tech; and a data science certificate from Thinkful.
