Description
Description of Project:
Team of volunteers will work with Houston Arboretum staff to provide guests with a fun and exciting Earth Day Celebration. Our group will assist the staff in running nature craft activities, manning activity booths, helping guide groups on nature walks, face painting young guests, and helping provide assistance with general fundraiser activities outdoors on 4+ miles of trails through native Houston habitats. Houston Arboretum is free and open to the public for this amazing annual event, so you will help our non-profit to educate guests on what is Houston Arboretum and help them to understand mission on nature conservation and education. These activities can be physically active and require the ability to navigate uneven surfaces in walking and working. The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is a 155-acre non-profit, nature sanctuary with miles of walking trails through forest, meadow, and wetland habitats.
