Description

Abstract: This is a basics course.  Familiarization and introductory design content includes: candidate selection; wellbore path planning; productivity expectations; elements of tubular selection; introduction to high angle flow, lift and cleanout; open hole vs. cased and cemented; best sand control options; practical stimulation and isolation methods; causes and methods for repairs; and P&A. Each section will identify further design and modeling training, or design experience potential that the student can pursue.
Who should attend: engineers, foremen, well operators, and project managers who are new to horizontal well planning and operation.
