Amy Myers Jaffe is Co-chair of CGEP's Women in Energy Steering Committee. In her full-time capacity she is the David M. Rubenstein senior fellow for energy and the environment and director of the Energy Security and Climate Change program at the Council on Foreign Relations. 

Jaffe has a long and distinguished career in academia. She served as executive director for energy and sustainability at the University of California, Davis, and senior advisor on energy and sustainability at the Office of the Chief Investment Officer of the University of California Regents and as a global fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. She was formerly the Wallace S. Wilson fellow for energy studies and founding director of the Energy Forum at Rice University's James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy. She has taught energy and sustainability classes at Rice University, the University of California, Davis and Yale University.

Jaffe has previously served on steering committees for a variety of policy task forces, including the U.S. National Petroleum Council study on emergency preparedness and state of California's Petroleum Market Advisory Committee and the state's advisory panel on advanced drilling technologies. Jaffe has also served as chair of the World Economic Forum's (Davos) Global Agenda Council on the Future of Oil and Gas and a member of the WEF's International Security council. She was awarded the Senior Fellow award from the United States Association for Energy Economics in 2015 for career contributions to the organization and to the field of energy economics and is president-elect of the organization. She holds a Bachelors of Arts from Princeton University in Near Eastern Studies and Arabic.

Moji is the co-founder and CEO at Cemvita Factory, a biotech startup on a mission to create a carbon-negative future by transforming CO2 into valuable products. He is a multidisciplinary entrepreneur and engineer who helps ideate, develop, and commercialize ground-breaking technologies. He has a proven track record of taking ideas to market, both at big companies and startups. Moji's experiences range from developing advanced deepwater drilling methods to several new biologically inspired technologies with applications in the energy and aerospace industries. Moji holds BS and MS degrees in drilling and petroleum engineering, respectively.

Gindi Eckel Vincent is an author, speaker, blogger, and Senior Counsel of Commercial Projects at ExxonMobil.  Gindi has practiced law for over 20 years, both in private practice and for seven years with ExxonMobil, also serving on their Inclusion and Diversity and Continuing Education Committees.  In addition, she writes and speaks nationally on brave leadership and her first book is entitled, Learning to Lead.  Gindi has served in numerous leadership roles including President of the Women’s Energy Network, the executive committee of Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and Chair of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and Houston Young Lawyers Foundation. She has been recognized as one of Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women, one of Houston’s Top 25 Role Models, a GHWCC Trailblazer, and Houston’s Outstanding Young Lawyer. Gindi and her husband Bray are the proud parents of ten year old triplets.

Belfast born and Trinity College Dublin educated Susan Morrice is the Co-founder and Chairperson of Belize Natural Energy. 

She began her career as a frontier (wildcat) geologist, working all over the world (UK, Spain, Algeria, Asia, USA and Central America).

Her work with Englishman, Sir Ian Rankin, took her to Belize where she fell in love with the people and the Country.

After 15 years of exploration, finding no oil, Susan and her business partner, Mike Usher, attended a specialized seminar on Human Potential and the power of the mind.  Through utilizing what they learned, Susan and Mike did what it took and on 24 June 2005 struck oil on their first well.

Since then BNE and Educo, its Sustainable Business Model, has become a global oil industry beacon that has made a real difference in the Country of Belize and is sought after by many leaders, including those from Mexico, Guatemala, UAE and the USA.

It was through Susan’s gift of exploration, and an understanding of the power of untapped human potential that she was able to find oil where it was believed that there was none by all the Majors in the Oil industry.

Kimberly Wilson enjoys helping energy company hiring managers gain talent market share by bringing strong diverse talent to their attention and guiding them through any unconscious bias during the search process. Kimberly is the Managing Director/CEO of TLR Search, a recruitment firm she started. Kimberly began her career in retail management learning about customer service, people, and business. Taking that experience along with her education in psychology and sociology she set out to help companies see the possibilities in people and help individuals see the possibilities in their career.

Deborah is a geologist/geophysicist with 43 years of oil and gas exploration experience in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast and Mid-Continent areas of the US.  She received her degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1976 and immediately started working for Gulf Oil in their Oklahoma City offices.

She started her own company, Auburn Energy, in 1990 and built her first geophysical workstation using Kingdom software in 1996. She helped SMT/IHS for 18 years in developing and testing the Kingdom Software. She specializes in 2D and 3D interpretation for clients in the US and internationally. For the past nine years she has been part of a team to study and bring the power of multi-attribute neural analysis of seismic data to the geoscience public, guided by Dr. Tom Smith, founder of SMT.  She has become an expert in the use of Paradise software and has over 5 discoveries for clients using multi-attribute neural analysis.

Deborah has been very active in the geological community.  She is past national President of SIPES (Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists), past President of the Division of Professional Affairs of AAPG (American Association of Petroleum Geologists), Past Treasurer of AAPG and Past President of the Houston Geological Society. She is recently the Past President of the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies and is one of the GCAGS representatives on the AAPG Advisory Council. Deborah is also a DPA Certified Petroleum Geologist #4014 and DPA Certified Petroleum Geophysicist #2.  She belongs to AAPG, SIPES, Houston Geological Society, South Texas Geological Society and the Oklahoma City Geological Society (OCGS).

Marcela Kane is the Director of Global Tax for Halliburton. Marcela manages all ASC 740 matters for jurisdictions in which Halliburton operates and is responsible for tax consolidation and external reporting.

Prior to serving at Halliburton Marcela was the lead ASC 740 Sr. Manger for Asia Pacific and Latin America Region at Weatherford where she led a team of tax professionals focusing in successfully lifting a material weakness in tax. In addition to her extensive Tax Accounting background Marcela has ample experience in international tax planning and local foreign taxes.

After graduating from Law School, Marcela graduated with an LLM in international taxes from University of Houston.

Terry Suffredini, PE is The Engineer’s Coach. After earning her degree in Chemical Engineering from UT - Austin, she spent more than 2 decades working in the environmental field. She later transitioned into process design and then into project management, working mainly with large ($350MM+) midstream oil and gas EPC projects and leading a team of 100+ professionals. On the side, Terry has been trained and certified as a Life/Career Coach. In that role, it is her mission to use her extensive experience and demonstrated abilities to help fellow engineers excel both personally and professionally. Janeen Judah was the 2017 President of SPE and is now member of the Board of Directors of Patterson-UTI Energy, after retiring from Chevron in 2018. Janeen is also a director for Crestwood Energy Partners, Jagged Peak Energy and Aethon Energy. Janeen has 40 years of SPE leadership, starting as a student section officer, chairing both the Permian Basin and Gulf Coast Sections and ending with three terms on the international Board, as Regional Director, Vice President Finance, and 2017 President.  Janeen has B.S. and M.S. degrees in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M, plus an MBA from UT Permian Basin and a JD from University of Houston.

Patricia earned her B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia, her M.S. in Technology Development and Engineering Management from Oklahoma State University and her M.B.A. in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Patricia also has a certificate in Energy Innovation & Emergent Technology from Stanford University. She served as member of GE’s Diversity Council, chair of the Health Ahead Program for GE O&G, and executive sponsor for the Women’s Network for GE`s Technology Center. Her professional affiliations include the Society of Women Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Women in Technology International.

Marjorie Nogueira is Subsurface Manager for the Trion Project at BHP. Trion is the first deep water field operated by an international company in deepwater Mexico in partnership with Pemex. Marjorie is accountable for providing characterization of the subsurface to underpin multi-billion dollar project investment decisions and optimum field development plan. 

Marjorie joined BHP in 2005 as a Reservoir Engineer and has held a number of leadership roles including Appraisal Manager and Subsurface Manager for the Gulf of Mexico and Division Planner for North American Shale Production.

She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Simon Bolivar University, a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. In 2009, Marjorie was recognizes as the Young Engineer of the Year by the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Katherine Papageorge holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Katherine is currently a Decommissioning Project Manager for Chevron’s Environmental Management Company. She manages an abandonment portfolio that takes her to Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and West Virginia. For her first four years in industry, Katherine worked in deepwater as a subsea engineer, supporting assets in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Brazil. Katherine leads the Chevron Subsea Community of Practice and is the Chevron Facilities Engineering Recruiting Team Lead for UT Austin.

In her spare time, Katherine is an active committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Houston Chair of Elevate M.E. at UT Austin, and a Houston Zoo volunteer through the Houston Junior League. Katherine previously served on the board of the Subsea Tieback Foundation.

Katherine has a wonderful husband of 5 years who shares her passion for sci-fi movies, travel, and hiking, and a 4 year old yellow lab named Cotton who shares her passion for swimming and eating.

Marise Mikulis is the founder of EnergyInnova and serves as Practice Director for Business Change, Digital Transformation, and Organizational Effectiveness. She is proven change leader experienced in working with core functions to lead and implement transformational change across an enterprise, producing measurable business improvement. Marise’s expertise has been built over a unique career that has blended her passions for the global upstream business, digital technology, and improving work experience and impact. To this she has added professional change certification from the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP).

She has also held an Adjunct Professor position at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business. Julie’s consulting career began not in business but by working with people who had addiction issues. Prior to joining Evolve, Julie was employed by Celerant Consulting in both Europe and the US. Born and raised in Scotland, Julie has chosen to make her home in the US — first in New York City and now in Los Angeles. Amber Rabo is a business-oriented human resources leader with a 20+ - year track record of progressive experience across multiple industries. Since 2016, Amber has served as Director, Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Acquisition at Cheniere Energy where she has successfully implemented comprehensive talent management technology, process, and practices including performance evaluation, talent reviews, succession, and development. Prior to Cheniere, Amber was Human Resources Manager, Talent Management for Rosetta Resources/Noble Energy and Director of Organizational Development and Training at Houston Methodist where she led organizational development, culture, and patient experience initiatives. Amber’s earlier engagements include serving as an Organization Effectiveness Consultant at H&R Block, rolling out organizational development strategy and compliance/ethics programming for BMC Software, and as an Organizational Development Consultant at Duke Energy Corporation.

Amber obtained her PhD in Business Administration from Northcentral University and a dual Master of Business Administration - Master of Social Work from the University of Houston. Earlier, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola University of New Orleans. Committed to her profession, she holds numerous human resources certifications.  Along with her husband, Luis, Amber is also co-owner of We Olive & Wine Bar in the Houston Heights where she resides; Luis and Amber have two children: Gemma (15) and Blaise (10).

Michael Behounek is a Drilling and Completions Manager for Apache’s Collaborative Technical Solutions in Houston. He leads a team of subject matter experts partnering with global operations to pursue operational excellence and leveraging technology advancement to increase value to Apache. Michael is a degreed Mechanical Engineer with a Master’s in Business. His 37 years of experience lies in engineering, operations, performance improvement, analytics, and contracting. Prior to joining Apache, he worked for both major service companies and operators. His experience spans field operations, engineering and senior management; working North America, Canada, UK, Europe, Russia, North Africa, Egypt and Kazakhstan.

Ron Morgan is the Chief Technical Advisor for Cementing at Haliburton Energy Services. He has over 35 years of industry and academic experience in the food and in the energy industry. Prior to spending 17 years at Haliburton, he rose through the ladder of leadership and spent several years as a Senior Director of R&D at KFC/PepsiCo, and as the Department head for Process Engineering R&D at KRAFT General Foods. He also served a few years as an associate professor of Food Engineering at the Michigan State University. He was the 2018 finalists for the World Oil – Life Time Achievement Award and has been inducted to the Oklahoma State University Hall of Fame in 2008. He has authored over 33 publications and has over 65 patents under his name. Ron has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the Texas A&M university and holds his B.S. and M.S. from the Oklahoma State University.

Cort Peavy is the Business Development Director, Americas, for CETCO Energy Services based in Houston. After graduating from Auburn University in Geology, Cort began his oilfield career with Western Atlas Wireline as a Field Engineer. Western Atlas became a division of Baker Hughes in 1998, and he spent most of his field experience as a Wireline Engineer in the Gulf of Mexico. For the past 11 years he has held Sales Management and leadership roles with Baker Hughes and other Service Companies/Consultancies.

Evelyn Medvin has nearly 40 years of experience as a geoscientist and has been with Core Laboratories for over twenty years. She currently holds the position of Vice President of Strategic Projects where she focuses on understanding client's technological needs to provide integrated solutions. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with Bachelor of Science in Geology, Evelyn has spent her career in geoscience positions holding a number of leadership roles within our industry to include working on international projects to find and develop hydrocarbon reserves, and software companies combining technology & interpretation skills to assist customers in finding hydrocarbons. She has made numerous presentations and published several articles on oil and gas technology & their applications.

She is a member of Independent Producers Association of America (IPAA), American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Houston Geologic Society (HGS) and National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) professional industry organizations; is a member of the board for IPAA’s Petroleum Academies; chair of the HGS Undergraduate Scholarship Foundation Committee and NOIA Membership Committee. She enjoys mentoring women & young people and creating networking opportunities in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Evelyn has received the BioHouston Women in Science with Excellence (WISE) Award in 2017 and Houston Geological Society Presidents Award in 2011 & 2004 and 2019 AAPG Distinguished Service Award.

Evelyn has been married to Roger for over 35 years and is a proud mother and grandmother.
