Description

How would you like to put your hands on a collaborative data platform?  Come visit the one-day Data Science workshop on Tuesday, March 12th. Interact with IBM technical leaders in the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence profession. The workshop shows an end-to-end solution for the industrial market.  Using a stream of IOT sensor data, the participant will construct an end-to-end solution to identify industrial assets that are at risk of machine failure.  A collaborative Data Science platform will be used to demonstrate the ability of data science as a team sport.  The session is intended for professionals, academia scholars, and students with interests in emerging data science, and machine learning.  The agenda will include short presentations about the use case and tooling and a 4-6 hour hands-on workshop.

Mike McMahon is an AI and Data Science technical lead at IBM within the industrial sector and has worked at IBM for 3 years in a variety of technical roles with Analytic, Cloud, AI and Data Science solutions. As a member of the IBM AI and Data Science (DS) technical team within the industrial sector, Mike has led hands-on workshops, proof of concepts, demonstrations, and briefings and discovery workshops for AI & DS solutions based on the IBM AI & DS tools. Mike has over 20 years’ experience as a data / data warehouse developer, enterprise architect, manager, consultant, and team lead for information technology solutions. Mike has extensive manufacturing systems experience developing custom enterprise requirements planning components, shop floor production systems, near Realtime reporting systems and optimization systems. Mike has earned an undergraduate degree from Limestone College with a BS in Computer Science / Business Administration. Additionally, Mike is a Navy Veteran, having served over 10 years in the Intelligence field.
