Traditional land based LiDAR has undergrown a significant technological advancement. Using algorithms, light is now able to travel through the subsea environment unhindered by refraction and other elements.  All the information available only to land based users of LiDAR derived data is now available to the subsea engineers and practitioners for a multitude applications.
