In partnership with the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Program, Houston Children’s Charity held its annual toy distribution over a 3-day period at the George R. Brown Convention Center. For the 8th consecutive year, Houston First Corporation donated 125,000 sq ft for an entire week in order for HCC and volunteers to organize and distribute toys to the parents of more than 20,000 children just in time for Christmas! This program would not be possible without the help of the 1st Battalion 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division. Once again, they lent their efforts to picking up and delivering more than 80,000 toys via dozens of box trucks and multiple 18-wheeler vehicles. We are so grateful for the work of both Staff Sergeant Marcelino Andrade and 1st Sergeant Sonny Medina who put their all into this program.

These are the days that our clients come to pick up their toys. APPROVED HCC Clients received mailed invite for specific day to arrive for pick up. These days are very organized and we distribute toys to parents ONLY no kids allowed in the building during distribution. All volunteers will be on their feet ALL SHIFT but it’s very rewarding during the holiday season. Jobs for these days will include (but not be limited to) check in, distribution, runner/stocker, check out. Marines at the location all days helping as well.
We need at least 100 Santa Helpers for each shift on BOTH DAYS to make the “Christmas MAGIC” happen.
On this SATRURDAY AFTERNOON we are clearing out the GRB and preparing for pick-up and delivery back to the HCC Warehouse. WE must be out of the GRB at end of the day.
All volunteers will be on their feet but very rewarding during the holiday season.
We need 25 Santa Helpers for this day to make the “Christmas MAGIC” happen.
ALL Volunteers must register prior to volunteering.
Just make sure that anyone that wants to volunteer needs to be registered online. Its painless. Link is below.
PLEASE NOTE there has been a new volunteer registration policy implemented.
Volunteering at HCC is a serious commitment; and because of this we have had to change the volunteer application process this year. EACH volunteer must fill out an HCC volunteer form to participate in any of our events. Additionally, ALL volunteers must be at least 15 years of age. We are sorry if this may cause any reluctance to volunteer, but we needed to implement these rules for the safety of everyone involved... especially the children we serve!!! If you have not registered to be a volunteer this year please visit www.houstonchildrenscharity.org to register today. Everyone must register prior to volunteering at any events!
