ROBERT M SHIVERS III  is Vice President – Projects for ATP Oil & Gas Corporation in Houston, TX.  He is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s offshore development projects in the Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea.   He served 19 years with Getty/Texaco in the US Gulf Coast and in the UK.  He has been with ATP Oil & Gas since 2001. 

 

He managed ATP’s first deepwater development, the Gomez Floating Production Facility in 3000 ft WD.  Following Gomez, he managed the Telemark Hub development in 4000 ft WD featuring the design and building of the first MinDOC floating platform.  Currently, he is managing the Cheviot project in the UK North Sea which will feature the first ever Octabuoy floating platform and also is working on ATP’s own proprietary floating LNG concept. He holds a B.S., M. Eng. and D. Eng. degrees in mechanical engineering from Texas A & M University
