Description

Girl Scout Day is an annual event hosted by the Society of Women Engineers, Rice Section.  Rice engineering students and professional volunteers hold workshops for 100 young girls, ages 8-10. The workshops are designed to introduce the girls to different engineering fields, such as chemical, civil,electrical, and petroleum engineering. The event has gained a great reputation among the Girl Scout community and has been successful for several years. The event will take place at Rice University on January 29, 2011.
