During his 32 year career with Shell, Roger held a variety of positions in engineering, technology and project management. As engineering manager, Roger led a large engineering organization responsible for Shell’s E&P assets in California.  He also served as chief production engineer in Shell’s Head Office with technical oversight for all of the company’s production properties and as Director of Production Research at Shell’s Houston research center.


 


Since leaving Shell, Roger has been involved in business and technical consulting on various aspects of the petroleum industry.  Roger is a principal of Business Fundamentals Group, LLC and of EOR Partners, LLC. 


 


He is Past-Chairman of the SPE Gulf Coast Section. Recently he was co-chair of the 2008 Digital Energy Conference May 20 and 21 in Houston and is Co-chair of the SPE Digital Oilfield workshop to be held October 24 and 25 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.


 


Roger has degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University and Princeton University.


 


He lives in Houston and has three daughters and six grandchildren. His hobbies include tennis and boating.
