Harry Britt has 15 years of experience in managing business ethics and compliance programs. He has created ethics and compliance programs for companies in the energy industry, the accounting profession, and the defense industry. The programs he designed have won two national ethics awards.

Mr. Britt is currently Manager of Ethics & Compliance for El Paso Corporation, one of the nation’s largest energy firms located in Houston, Texas. He designed and implemented an enhanced ethics and compliance program for El Paso, including a new code of conduct, training programs, a helpline telephone system, an intranet site, and ethics and compliance communications. He has also expanded the program to El Paso’s international locations.


Mr. Britt was previously the Global Manager of Ethics & Business Conduct for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). At PwC, he helped to design, implement, and manage a new internal business ethics program - the first ethics program for a major professional services firm. He helped write a new code of conduct, develop an ethics training program, and manage a helpline telephone system. He also assisted with the creation of an intranet site for global PwC personnel and coordinated ethics activities with PwC personnel in other countries.


Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Britt was Manager of Operational Audit & Compliance for Bath Iron Works – a major defense contractor and one of the largest shipbuilders for the US Navy. He developed and implemented a new, comprehensive ethics and compliance program to comply with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and to follow best practices established by the Defense Industry Initiative ethics group.


He is a founding member of the national Ethics & Compliance Officer Association, past President of the Greater Houston Business Ethics Roundtable, and an Executive Fellow of the Center for Business Ethics at Bentley College in Boston.


Mr. Britt is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner. He received his BBA and MBA from Texas A&M University.
