SURFING THE WEB FOR A JOB - NON-TRADITIONAL RIGHT?
This new-fangled Internet that allows everyone on the planet to talk to one another is no doubt a revolution. Looking for work on the Internet can be either traditional or non-traditional, depending on how it is used. Let's use Big Blue's Web Page for example. Say you put your "Web Browser" to work on one of those Internet search engines to locate international wire line service companies founded in France. Then you access Big Blue's Web Page. If you look in their Job Bank for engineering opportunities, this is the traditional approach (i.e. someone had to post the opening, even if it was easier and cheaper than advertising in the paper). If you search for an old friend or manager of engineering through the Big Blue Web Page and then send them an e-mail telling them you are looking for work and can they help, then this is the non-traditional job search method.
