Attn: HR Representative

Houston, TX

Dear HR Representative,

I am happy to apply to your company.  Thank you for the opportunity to submit a resume.  I look forward to working with you through this process.

There is a gap in my resume between 2014 and 2022.  During this time, BOTH of my parents fell ill and I had to move back into their home to care for them in their later years.  Dad passed away in 2018 and Mom passed away in 2019.  I was then employed for three years at closing their estate.  I hope this clarifies this point.  It was a bereavement period.

A list of references can be produced upon request.

Again, thank you for the opportunity of applying!

--Regards,

     Nathan Kelley
