EDUCATION:  St. Thomas High School - 1985 Texas A&M University – College Station, BBA in Accounting

I entered the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University in the fall of 1985, and changed to Accounting after my freshman year.  The SPE scholarship, along with a Welch Foundation grant, helped pay for my initial college costs and exposed me to various fields of study which led to my chosen degree path.  After graduation, I worked in the accounting field for a few years and then moved into Information Technology, and have been a successful program manager/executive in the healthcare industry for 20 years.   I am appreciative to SPE for the opportunities they provided me early on in my education.  I have fond memories of the scholarship interview process, and listening the oil industry stories from the long-time members at the awards dinner.  I am pleased to be able to give back to the foundation so they can continue to provide opportunities to the next generation.
