SPE-GCS A&D Workshop – Who Will Take the Title?

Joe has over 30 years of experience in engineering, finance, and transactions in the energy industry.  Joe currently serves as a board member for the Texas A&M University Petroleum Ventures Program and the Houston Producers Forum.  Joe earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University, and a M.S. Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Chris has been part of the EnergyNet team since 2002. He has been actively involved as the firm has completed $8B+ in transactions including sell-side mandates from thousands of Exploration and Production clients. Chris has 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to EnergyNet, Chris worked at the Enron Corporation in Houston, Texas.

While at Grizzly, he led the divestiture team in the successful marketing and closing of the sale of their producing properties. Prior to Grizzly, Steve was a cofounder and Executive Vice President - Corporate Development of Halcon Resources Corporation from 2012 to 2019. Additionally, he was a co-founder and Executive Vice President - Corporate Development of Petrohawk Energy Corporation from 2003 until Petrohawk’s sale to BHP Billiton in 2011. Steve has 40 years of industry experience and began his career in 1981 with Superior Oil Company.

Denna joined EnergyNet in 2017 to work with the Business Development team. In January 2020, she took on the role of Vice President of Corporate Development. In this role, Denna is the liaison between the nationwide business development team and EnergyNet's technical team (petroleum engineers, geologists, financial and GIS analysts) to accelerate EnergyNet's strategic initiatives and align company resources to deliver superior results for client success. Denna offices in downtown Houston, Texas.

Prior to joining EnergyNet, she also served as Vice President of Business Development, Business Development Manager and Transaction Manager from 2000-2017 at an oil and gas brokerage firm where she was personally involved with the transaction team closing over $10 Billion in asset sales. She began her career in E&P working with Engineering, Land & Finance at Swift Energy Company (Silverbow Resources, Inc.) and DDD Energy, a division of Seitel Inc.

After 21 years with The Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse as Vice President of Business Development, Kevin founded Townsend Energy Advisors LLC (TEA) in 2016. TEA acts as a business development advisor to select independent oil and gas companies seeking his expertise on oil and gas asset acquisitions. His present teams have acquired over $1 billion in assets in the past five years. Kevin has over 30 years’ experience in oil and gas and began his career in the field with Halliburton.
