Scott W. Tinker works to bring disparate groups together to address difficult challenges. Dr. Tinker is director of the 250-person Bureau of Economic Geology, the State Geologist of Texas, and a professor holding the Allday Endowed Chair at The University of Texas at Austin. He has served as president of the American Geosciences Institute (AGI), the Association of American State Geologists, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies (GCAGS). Dr. Tinker is an AGI Campbell Medalist, AAPG Halbouty Medalist, GCAGS Boyd Medalist, and a Fellow of the Geological Society of America.

Michael Skelly is a renewable energy entrepreneur and pioneers in the US wind industry.  At Lazard, Skelly advises companies and investors on renewable energy and sustainability.  Michael was the founder and president of Clean Line Energy. Prior to Clean Line, Skelly led the growth of Horizon Wind Energy, now part of EDP.

Skelly is on the Board of Directors of LINK Houston. He also sits on the boards of the Houston Bike Share, the Houston Parks Board, LINK Houston, Greentown Labs in Houston and TXRX Labs. Skelly holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Craig Friou is the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer at EnCap. Since joining EnCap, Friou has led the firm’s ESG efforts, including becoming a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment and issuing the firm’s first sustainability reports. Prior to joining EnCap in 2019, Craig Friou spent 23 years at PwC.

Friou is community service volunteer and board member of the Rotary Club of West U and Youth Development Center. Friou is a graduate of The University of Texas with BBA and MPA degrees in accounting. He is a CPA and a member of AICPA, the Texas Society of CPAs and the Independent Petroleum Association of America.

With 20 years of energy and innovation experience, Alex has worked extensively internationally as an entrepreneur, angel investor, and venture capitalist for Fortune 500 companies. His focus has been on bringing corporations and entrepreneurs together to impact one of the world’s largest challenges – sustainable and plentiful energy access.

Alex Rozenfeld founded Climate Impact Capital to fill the gap for start-ups and investors seeking to manage climate change. He has been investing since 2001, including hydrogen, fuel cells, and energy storage.

Prior to CIC, Alex was President at Shell Technology Ventures, LLC. He has a BSE from Princeton and MBA from MIT and is on multiple energy advisory boards.

James Mackey leads OGCI Climate Investments’ team responsible for investing in projects that recycle and store greenhouse gas emissions from large industrial facilities.  He previously held senior roles at Apex Clean Energy, NextEra Energy Resources, Dynegy, J.P. Morgan, and Duke Energy. 

Mackey holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BA in Economics from Trinity College – Hartford, Connecticut.
