Vice President, CNAEP, MCBU

Jeff Gustavson is vice president of Chevron North America Exploration & Production Company and oversees its Mid-Continent Business Unit, which manages a large resource base of oil and liquid-rich assets in the mid-continent United States, including Chevron's significant Permian assets in Texas and New Mexico. 

Prior to this role, Jeff serves as president of Chevron Canada Limited, and was responsible for the company's upstream interests in Canada, including oil sands, unconventional resource assets in Alberta and British Columbia, interests offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, the proposed Kitimat LNG Project, and assets in the Northwest Territories and Yukon.

Jeff joines Chevron in 1999 and has held positions in Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Strategic Planning, Supply and Trading, Investor Relations and Upstream, with numerous assignments in the United States, as well as Venezuela, the United Kingdom and Canada. 

Jeff graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1994 with bachelor's degrees in both economics and international affairs, and received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999. 

Chief Technology Officer - Industrial Manufacturing, Digital Strategies and AI , IBM

Dr. Ben Amaba manages the innovation process that identifies strategies, business opportunities and new technologies with the IBM Watson and Cloud platform. He manages the process of disruptive technologies in artificial intelligence, data analytics, cloud platforms, and the Internet of Things. Dr. Amaba is responsible for industrial manufacturing, infrastructure, engineering, and supply chain solutions.

He holds a Ph.D. in industrial and systems engineering, MBA and a MS degree in engineering and operations, and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Dr. Amaba is a registered and licensed Professional Engineer with International Registry; LEED® Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design); and certified in Corporate Strategy by Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Amaba holds a copyright for Process Activity Flow Framework®, the framework for requirements, design, architecture, simulation, and application development techniques.

Dr. Amaba is prominently featured in “Giving 2.0,” by Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen with Stanford Business School, which details contributions to bolster and promote STEM education and careers, and is an Alexis de Tocqueville Society/United Way Member, which recognizes local philanthropic leaders.

Lourdes Long is a Commercial Representative with Chevron’s Corporate Business Development team, a position she has held since July 2018.  Prior to her current role, Lourdes managed Chevron’s commercial diesel sales in Northern California.

Lourdes joined Chevron in 2014 as part of the Business and Commercial MBA Program holding assignments in Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream business segments in Houston, San Ramon and Lagos. Lourdes is also active in the Houston Women’s Employee Network as a Career Development Chair.

Lourdes received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from University of Notre Dame.  Prior to joining Chevron, she worked as a Policy Analyst for the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C., focused on the Oil & Gas and Electric Power sectors

Allyson Anderson Book is vice president of energy transition for Baker Hughes. In this role she oversees Baker Hughes’ energy-transition strategy and works to develop new energy products and services that help lower carbon emissions while meeting the world’s growing energy needs.

Before joining Baker Hughes she served as the executive director of the American Geosciences Institute, which represents more than 250,000 geoscientists and focuses on increasing public awareness of the role geosciences play in society’s use of resources. Prior to that, she held a number of academic, policy and senior government positions, including teaching at Georgetown University, working for the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and serving as the associate director of strategic engagement of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) at the U.S. Department of the Interior. She began her career as a geoscientist for ExxonMobil.

She holds bachelor’s degrees in geology and music from the University of Northern Iowa, and a master’s degree in geology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Vice President, Operations and Chief Scientist

Erica is a technologist with over 15 years of experience in Multiphysics and Simulation. Currently she serves as Vice President of Operations and Chief Scientist for Reveal Energy Services. The focus is on improving fracture diagnostics through innovative engineering. Prior to starting with Reveal, she was active in industries outside of oil and gas, including consumer electronics and automotive. She has been at the forefront for innovation for additive manufacturing and large-area electronics. She has authored and co-authored over 30 papers and has contributed to several patents. Coenen holds an MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.

Muneezeh is currently the Executive Vice President of Workforce Strategy at Avenica. She leads the development and execution of a new offering designed to help clients reimagine their overall human capital strategy and leverage entry-level talent as a key enabler. She also partners with educational institutions to find untapped talent and transform high-potential candidates into high performers through behavioral analysis, career coaching, and targeted upskilling.

Previously, she served as the Director of Strategy & Operations in the Business Technology organization at Sysco Corporation, a Fortune 50 leader in global foodservice distribution. She ran the office of the CTO and led a large-scale organizational transformation to enable in-house software engineering, legacy modernization, and digital innovation.

Prior to joining Sysco, Muneezeh was a seasoned strategist at top consulting firms, including Accenture and Slalom, where she advised numerous oil and gas clients. She holds bachelor’s degrees in English Honors and Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and is based in Houston, TX.

Jacqueline Armstrong has practiced employment law in Houston Texas for over 30 years representing professionals in the oil and gas industry. Both her father and husband made their careers in oil and gas so she understands the industry and its cycles that impact employees. She has counseled professionals, negotiated employment contracts and severance agreements as well as litigated non-compete covenants. Her practice also involves representing clients in civil rights cases involving disability, age, gender, race, national origin, and religious discrimination. Jacqueline has advocated for both those who have been sexually harassed and those wrongfully accused of sexual harassment. No stranger to jury trials, Jacqueline has scored significant successes that have restored dignity to many workplaces. Though primarily an advocate for the employee, because she also represents small businesses, Jacqueline understands both management and employee perspectives.She holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

Amit Mehta, CEO of Moblize. He has personally experienced multiple oil and gas downturns and used them as an opportunity to go from “Jobless” to “Job Creator”. After the last downturn, Moblize emerged to be ranked #1 as the “Best Entrepreneurial Company in America” by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2018 and also earned him E&Y Finalist for 2019 “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award for growing over 250% year on year for 3 years in a row.

Amit graduated from the University of Cambridge, UK with a degree in Design, Manufacture and Management. Among his many other accolades, Amit has been featured in many industry reputable magazines like World Oil, AOGR, JPT, Forbes, Hart E&P Drilling Contractor and Oilman Magazine.

Deborah serves as EY’s Americas Industry Leader and also Americas Oil and Gas leader.  Deborah previously was the Houston Office Managing Partner, Managing Partner of the EY Americas Oil & Gas Tax Group and the Transactions Advisory Group in the Southwest Region where she focused on Energy transactions.

Deborah is a member of the Americas Markets Executive Committee and leads our Industry Markets leaders across our Americas region.  Her core responsibilities include setting strategic growth goals informed by economic and industry trends in each of the key market sectors, advising the EY executive board to shape near term and long term investment decisions on resources and technology solutions, and recruiting and developing leadership talent for client serving teams. 

Deborah continues to directly serve clients in strategic transactions and has significant experience working with US and non-US based global firms, private equity funds, and sovereign wealth funds.  With over 30 years of experience, she is also highly versed in cross border transactions, reviewing tax and economic considerations in transactions involving complex Joint Ventures and corporate structuring projects, including initial review related to proof of concept, tax modeling, and structuring and execution of initial IPO, and a deep knowledge in tax and economic issues surrounding development of gas shale reserves in North America, Global LNG development projects and the impact of these developments on the Power sector.

Deborah is a frequent speaker (and writer) on oil and gas industry issues, as well as on the the challenges in our new era of energy transition.  Deborah has been published and/or has appeared in Oil and Gas Investor, Oil & Gas Journal, Oil & Gas Financial Journal, Platts, Forbes, Bloomberg, Fox News, New York Times, Houston Chronicle’s FuelFix, the Houston Business Journal, Oil & Gas Monitor, Petroleum Intelligence Weekly and others.

Deborah received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University. Deborah is a member of the AICPA and Texas Society of CPAs and is licensed in Texas.  Deborah is also on the Board of Directors of Baker Ripley, Advisory Council member for the Bi-lateral Chamber and was previously a Board member of United Way and Greater Houston Partnership.

Moji is the co-founder and CEO at Cemvita Factory, a biotech startup on a mission to create a carbon-negative future by transforming CO2 into valuable products. He is a multidisciplinary entrepreneur and engineer who helps ideate, develop, and commercialize groundbreaking technology. He has a proven track record of taking ideas to market, both at big companies and startups. Moji's experiences range from developing advanced deepwater drilling methods to nature-inspired technologies with applications in energy, mining, and aerospace industries. Moji holds BS and MS degrees in drilling and petroleum engineering, respectively.

Jason Klein leads Shell’s US Energy Transition Program, which involves assessing emerging risks and opportunities across Shell’s US businesses from the global transition to lower carbon energy, developing policy and advocacy positions around Energy Transition in the US, and implementing long-term strategies to make Shell resilient to expected changes in the energy system and allow Shell’s US businesses to thrive as the world moves to lower-carbon energy. 

 He joined Shell following the acquisition of BG Group in 2016, where he was Asset General Manager for BG in the US—responsible for BG’s US unconventional assets, North America exploration activities, and the development of the proposed Lake Charles LNG export project.

 Following the BG takeover, Jason became VP US LNG within Shell’s Integrated Gas business, responsible for development of the Elba Island LNG project currently under construction near Savannah, Georgia and the proposed Lake Charles LNG export project in Lake Charles, Louisiana. 

 Jason is a lawyer by background and joined BG Group in 2003.  Jason had senior legal roles with BG in the United States, United Kingdom, Oman and Australia, including serving as BG’s Deputy General Counsel in both Houston and London. Prior to joining BG, Jason was an associate with the law firm of Vinson & Elkins in Houston.

Cindy Yeilding is currently Senior Vice President, BP America. Cindy earned her MSc in Geology from UNC after receiving a BS in Geology from SMU. Cindy’s specialties include Exploration and Technology, and she most recently led the working team for the U.S. National Petroleum Council study on Carbon Capture, Use and Storage (CCUS).

Cindy is Chair of the Offshore Technology Conference and serves on the Board of Directors of BPX&P and the Greater Houston Partnership.  She is BP’s Executive Sponsor for Princeton University and serves on the Advisory Council for the U.T. Jackson School, and the Executive Board of Dedman College, SMU. Cindy has served as an AAPG Distinguished Lecturer and was named a “Legend in Exploration” by AAPG. Cindy is active in women’s development and STEM education and has been recognized for her leadership in energy by numerous organizations.  

Sergey joined Schlumberger in 2006 as a geologist. Since then he has worked on a variety of exploration and field development projects as domain and project leader. Currently working at the Schlumberger Software Technology Innovation Center in Silicon Valley, Sergey has been applying his domain knowledge to analyze innovations in tech and evaluate their applicability to the Oil & Gas industry. In his current role of Immersive Technology Manager, Sergey has a special interest in creating VR/AR solutions that will completely change the way people interact with digital data in Oil and Gas world.

Guillermo is Chief Commercial Officer USA for Tenaris. Guillermo recently joined the Tenaris US management team from his previous position as President, Canada, where he had been responsible for the company’s regional operations since 2012. Previous positions in Tenaris also include Chief Planning Officer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, responsible for Sales in Latin America, Exports Sales Director in Mexico, Vice President of the Pipeline Services and Vice President of Oilfield Services. Mr. Moreno graduated in 1987 from Instituto Tecnologico Buenos Aires (ITBA) with a degree in Industrial Engineering. In 2004, he completed post-graduate studies at the Harvard Business School.

Shakti Sehra is a Principal Consultant at Enverus, formerly - RS Energy Group. After graduating with a master’s in petroleum engineering from the University of Houston in 2015, he worked as an upstream asset valuation analyst at IHS Markit for 4 years. In his current role at Enverus, he consults Investment Banks and Private Equity firms, by helping them adopt technology solutions in their business workflows. He guides them with efficient ways to perform technical and economic studies along with analyzing the latest industry and operator trends across all major NA shale plays. Outside work, Shakti likes to volunteer with the SPE Gulf Coast section.

Mollie Garvey is a Software Product Manager at Halliburton where she champions the big picture of digital operational workflow design and business intelligence. She began her career as a Field Engineer and has 10 years of experience across a variety of operations and technology roles. By leveraging her unique skillset in business analytics, digital innovation, environmental engineering, and project management she can develop teams to not only see the vision but also to implement solutions which exceed the expectations of her many global customers. Passionate about the energy transition and giving back to the industry she encourages the next generation of student and young professionals to pursue STEM education and careers. She holds a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration at Duke University Fuqua College of Business. She lives in Houston with her husband, Jared, and labradoodle, Lucy.
