Northside: Perforating Design Impacts on Hydraulic Fracturing

During his 36-year career at Marathon, Phil provided technical assistance to drilling, completion and production engineers. Holding about 50 patents and countless technical papers, Phil received the 2012 SPE Gulf Coast Regional Completions Optimization and Technology Award and the 2015 World Oil Innovative Thinker Award. At GEODynamics, he is steering a proppant transport related to fracturing project and continues to provide the company with the Operators’ perspective.

Steve joined the GEODynamics team in 2018 after retiring from Marathon Oil where he provided technical and operational support to asset and exploration teams for completion and well stimulation. He is an active member and presenter in numerous associations, including SPE. Steve currently works on new technology developments, fracture diagnostic analyses, completion optimization and technical sales support at GEODynamics.
