Over the last 10 years, Devon has capitalized on its acquisition of Mitchell’s prolific Barnett holdings to create a large and diverse North American portfolio of high potential unconventional assets. While continuing to expand its core Barnett base, Devon is also moving forward on a variety of fronts from the development of its liquids rich Cana Woodford and Granite Wash assets to its Canadian Oil sands holdings. Devon’s recent JV announcements with Sinopec and Sumitomo signal a desire to accelerate the de-risking and development of the remainder of its diverse assets. How are these JV’s structured?
