Robert (Bob) Webb is a global leader in production measurement and allocation. His expertise ranges from downstream and midstream dynamic and static measurement systems to production measurement and allocation, including multiphase and wet gas flow metering applications. Bob received BS degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1979 and began his career in the pipeline division of Marathon Oil Company. Over an 18+ year tenure at Marathon, Bob developed into a measurement expert. In 1997 Bob joined Amoco Production Company, which merged with BP (British Petroleum), where he spent another 18+ years, ultimately becoming the upstream Segment Technical Authority (SETA) for hydrocarbon measurement, the highest position for a discipline engineer. At BP, as upstream technical authority for hydrocarbon measurement and allocation, Bob worked with operators, standardization bodies, and government regulators on a global basis. Along the way Bob chaired the API Committee on Petroleum Measurement and established the API Committee on Production Measurement and Allocation. Bob championed DeepStar and REPSEA subsea metering initiatives. Bob joined Letton Hall Group in May 2016.
Bob has authored and presented technical papers in numerous venues, and contributed to both international and local standards. He holds two patents related to pipeline proving and production allocation methodology.
