Part 3 of the 5 part Expanding Facilities Knowledge Workshop series will showcase Cameron Valves, who will bring field examples of all valve types.  Discussion will include conditions for use of each type of valve, overview of material selection, and valve service conditions.  Valve samples will be available for viewing and discussion.
 
The Expanding Facilities Knowledge Workshop series is aimed at imparting basic concepts and facilities knowledge to graduate new hires and summer interns of EP companies and contractors, while allowing opportunities for networking with other young professionals in the industry.

Speaker Ron Manson

 Ron Manson graduated from Strathclyde University in Scotland in 1974 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for a short time in nuclear power stations and for the past 30 years has been the valve industry.   He has extensive experience in all areas of valving, such as subsea, topside, and pipeline.

 Ron spent 3 years with Wheatley, 15 years with Cameron, and 13 years with Dresser. He recently returned to Cameron as the Director of Application Engineering, where his broad experience is used in their Project Valve Management group evaluating for client valve solutions, including what type of valve and trim should be used for the service conditions. 
Ron is a professional Chartered Engineer and member of the British Institute of Mechanical Engineers. He represented the UK through the British Standards Institute on Euronorm valve committees.  Ron has actively participated in the ISO committee, which wrote the new pipeline valve standard and has made significant contributions to API in their 6D committee.

Pre-registration at this event is strongly encouraged, as the event fills quickly and in advance. Walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, if space allows.
 
Presentation starts at 4 pm.  We recommend that you arrive at 3:30 pm if you are a walk-in or need to pay at the door.
